I have a 62 Impala that is painted silver across the rear. I have seen some painted, and I have seen some with thin metal sheeting across the rear. I was told by someone that the early 62's were painted and later one's had the metal backing. Is this true or did all have metal across rear? Thanks.

I have seen both,,,but of course i live in Canada.
