    Talking pics of my project!

Hey new guy here, all my friends drive their little imports and such, well I grew up around my old man and big blocks.....

so I am going a different route.

here is my little hod rod project.

started as a 71 2wd 3/4ton leaf sprung chevy, strait as an arrow Arizona Forest service truck...I got her for 300.00

    very solid pick up...

I then cut down the frame, converted the rear to a coil/trailing arm set up.
Then sandblasted, primmered and painted the frame.

then placed in a turbo 400 with shift kit and manual alve body. andto top it off installed the 468 out of my 75 blazer.

the top is cut off, I gutted and deleted the door windows and vent windows, the doors will be caped and empty.

as for the windshiled, the pillers hae been reinforced and the glass will be exsposed along the top of the windshield like an old rod.

the truck now has 5 lug lowed spindles, dropped coils, and lowered coils in the rear. For the hot rod look the truck will have a rake on it, crager drag star wheels, and a hilborn duel carb scoop comming through the hood.

the interior will be a mix of modern and classic. Also in the works is turning my lls6 block into a 496, this is a long term goal though, I am going to run the 468 first though.
