gearshift profiles

I am about to order a floor shift to install in my roadster pickup. I have seen the Lokar offerings, and those from Gennie Shifter. They are fine looking gearshifts, and to a greater or lesser degree look like a "vintage" shift lever. In the 60's I ran a floor shift in my 60 Chev, (with a 4-speed manual tranny) that was made from a gracefully tapered bar stock, chromed, and drilled. It was about 1/2" wide by 1 1/2" at the base, and although the 1/2"width was constant, the other dimension (1 1/2") tapered from the floor all the way up to the round chrome shifter ball. About 2/3 of the way up from the floor, the shift lever had a bend of approximately 30 degrees towards the rear of the car. Does anybody make an aftermarket floor shift to work with an automatic transmission (turbo 350) that looks like what I just described? I really would like that "hot-rod" shifter look. I think that it must have been about 14 or 16" tall from the floor to the top of the shifter knob
