Well, it was a bad day for the Club Hot Rod server!

Power outages due to snow/ice....The server power cycled numerous times causing drive and data corruption, and here we are mostly going. Sorry for the inconvenience!

Streets, I was aware of the problem almost immediately, but maybe the other forums have paid full time administrators (feel free to put me on your payroll) or they are already rich and don't work, or well, they don't have a career outside of making a place for you to lose 80 posts. Either way, I was thinking only of trying to make you happy when I was fixing stuff.

hmmm, yes I was wondering what was going on when I tried to load up earlier. It,s interesting to see that CHR runs on a shoestring budget, it's results show a far greater commitment.

Yeah, thought it was my computer, too. Great job getting it back and running. Thanks for the board, and the efforts. This place is great. I'm just sorry I didn't save the "Geezers Rule" string. Good jokes. Oh well, I'm sure it will be back.

Thanks for getting the site back up, I missed it! I thought maybe a disk had crashed but I should have known the winter weather had something to do with it. This reminds me of my first PC which was an XT; it had a bad disk drive but I found that if I wedged a pack of matches under one edge it would run OK on a different part of the bearing and I got another year out of that disk!

I second that Southerner! This is the BEST forum out there...it attracts the BEST people...and there isn't a bunch of trash talk. It's one of the ONLY places on the net that (as a female in a predominately male occupied hobby) that I feel like I can for the most part participate safely! CHR RULES!!!! Kudos Brent & Bill!!!!

    Thank God..........

Thank God, that I had my back-up computer.......all I had to do was power-up my other Lap Top, by turning it upside down.......and shakeing it, until all the silver stuff covered the screen. Then I was back in bussiness. My Etch-a-Sketch has paid for itself many times.
