Just bought a whole bunch of hot rod goodies
Now that a new year has rolled around, and I have already posted my "big whine about high cost of hot rod parts" last month, I bit the bullet yesterday. I went to my local speed shop, and ordered a new Ididit tilt column, a Lecarra steering wheel and adapter, a Lokar shifter, a set of 5 Autometer electronic gauges, a Billet specialties dash insert, a set of Lokar parking brake cables, a Lokar throttle cable, and a new ignition switch. This cost a grand total of $2464.00 including taxes.----On my previous rods, I scrounged through a lot of old wrecking yards and recycled most of this stuff from junked cars, for about 10 percent of what I just paid.----Now I am considerably older, a bit wealthier, and the junk yards are all covered with 2 foot of snow right now. I will be submitting picture/posts of this neat stuff as I install it on the roadster pickup. Now all I have to hope is that my mechanical design business does as well this year as it did last , to put some money back into the kitty.Old guy hot rodder

Hey Brian, look at it this way. I'll bet you sure made the guy at the speed shop happy!!! As good as the roadster is looking, it deserves all good parts!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Learning must be difficult for those who already know it all!!!!
