Anyway this great Forum apparently runs on a shoestring? Does not the advertising pay enough for a backup PC with a large hard disk? Today one can get an enormous size disk for a relatively low price. Still last year my house went without power for nine days and I dread an ice storm this year, so maybe what is really needed is an auxilliary power supply (from HONDA?).
