Well, I'm new here too and glad I found this site. I've been building fiberglass dune buggys for the last few years and have got kinda bored so I'm selling out and plan to try my modest skills on a Street Rod. I'm shopping now and wonder what the Hot Rod guys think of fiberglass replicas. I just don't have the talent to remanufacture a rusted out body and make it something to be proud of. There are some good glass rolling packages on the market, but they are expensive and I don't want to put a couple years work into something like that if it won't be accepted by people that do have that special talent.
You're not going to hurt my feelings. I'm just starting out and haven't done anything but look so far. There is also a steel '35 Ford slant back near me that is 80% finished and is top notch EVERYTHING that I'm going to look at. I'm gonna take lots of pictures and thought maybe I could get you guys to give me opinions on what I find. Thanks.
