The way they get rid of cars/ junk is about 1 every 2-3 years and, they arleady just got rid of a Dodge carevan so, it will be there for a few more years at least. I'm deffinetly gonna finish the '51 b4 I get anything else, I'v done too much to the car to let it sit ( well, it is in my grandfathers barn for the winter, does have concrete floor in the barn though ), I'v also drawn very close to the car because it's my first classic and it's special to me for that fact. With the truck, I knew the original frame was unusable for a hotrod but, I was looking at the solid cab, with good glass. I was under the impression that the cabs are the same between all the models up to 2 ton or so, it's just like the hidden valley ranch truck except the bed has been skinned with plywood, that and it's faded red instead of greenOriginally posted by Streets
U mean so YOU could have a junkyard like they have/had?? When ya gonna finish/work on what cha got now?? Dump trucks don't make a nice hot rod cuse the rears are so high geared (8:67) and weigh too much and the frames have been overstressed for so long and usually diamond'd..
You don't know what you've got til it's gone
