O.K. Guys---I said I would post a picture of my hood fix. It is a model A hood that is supposed to be an exact fit on a 32 grillshell, but it didn't fit good at all. I sat it on the car (no hood sidepanels) and basically built this box frame around it, then wedged it down against the box frame untill it fit the grillshell perfectly. I lifted the hood off the car and used my trusty gluegun and some construction cardboard to make an exact pattern, then cut a "stiffner" out of 3/4" plywood and set it in place. As soon as I took this picture, I got out the mat and resin and glassed the plywood stiffner in from both sides. I will let it set up untill the weekend, then remove all of the box frame, and if we're very lucky, I should have a perfect fitting hood. Total cost of fix--about 2 1/2 hours of my time and a bunch of scraps and leftovers from
other projects.
