It's a bloody big job. When we moved to Tataraimaka I had fifty years accumulation of UGS (unused good stuff,) to decide what to keep and what not.. Most of the steel came with me, and any length of timber over six ft came too.
Shelves and display cabinets plus all that were on or in the shelves and cabinets, they had to be packed in their groups or sequences, the tandem trailer covered quite a few miles over a 3 month period, plus several full container loads on a hiab truck.
Once we'd moved in I found that now I don't use the steel as much...no heavy machinery (apart from my little 1 1/2 ton digger and my little Ferguson tractor,) is all sold, no big machinery = no heavy work = no breakages = no repairs so my welders don't get used any more...I actually gave my $5,000 mig welder to my son later.
That was the problem...I really didn't know what to take or what to sell or give away.
So...you're going to face the same problem.
Have fun.
I don't envy you...
Post script: Some of the stuff I threw out, sold, or gave away I've had to buy again...sob...johnboy

Some mistakes are too much fun to be made only once.
I don't know everything about anything, and I don't know anything about lots of things.
