Since he has actually been onsite, I thought he would enjoy these pictures.. About 150 years between dates taken. Here in Acushnet, MA Whites Factory / Mill. 1 of 5 water powered mills that used to run here in town. And 1 of the mill "today" with my friend Mark's Dad and their truck.

Thanks for kicking the memory into gear Mike.
I remember that building, (or what's left of it,) we actually took pictures of it ourselves too.
What intrigued me primarily was that it appeared to be dry-stoned, i.e. no mortar. The craftmanship of the people who built it was impressive, in that it's still standing today. (Well parts of it are.)
Forty years ago I had a crack at at building a dry-stone wall back at Rock Bottom after a rather serious motorbike accident, it's bloody hard work and more complex than you would think!
(But it too is still standing, and it's six ft tall at its highest point.)

I can remember the building mostly complete. And something you cannot see is the bridge structure under the road in front of the mill. It is one massive piece of granite, some 10 to 12 inches thick and the complete width (9+ feet) and length (guessing 22 to 25 feet) and it is one piece! And it is still in use today. Has a crack in it so it is scheduled to be replaced with a whole new bridge. Just a couple days ago the wife and I were using that road coming home and a cement truck was coming over the bridge! It is posted with a 3 ton limit since the crack was found. Heck even an empty cement truck is way over that limit.... no wonder it cracked!
