Coincidence
Coincidences happen, but I don't trust them:
Last night, riding my 2001 Indian chief to my VFW post, I had a flat rear tire which was immediately followed by a complete electrical failure.
I was able to coax it in to the entrance of the parking lot, fortunately there are two entrances so I wasn't blocking traffic.
I got a ride home, grabbed the truck and trailer and with some help got it loaded up and home.
The tire turned out to be completely worn out, whoops! I don't ride it much, and the rear fender flap completely hides the tread, so closer examination will be in my future.
Haven't dug into the electrical yet. I'm about to get off my can and go look.
It's just darned peculiar to get a one-two punch like that.

The electrical gremlin was the ground terminal on the battery. It had melted off. I repaired it by soldering on the wire clamp end of a car battery cable terminal end. Good repair.

Then I traced down a gremlin in the headlight circuit which has been haunting me for months. It turned out to be the quick connects in the factory ground wire. To I cut it out, soldered and shrink wrapped.

A new tire is on the way courtesy of FeeBay. The rest wheel is a bear to pull but I'll get it done before the tire is delivered.
I made several posts because otherwise I time out and have to re- type everything.
