That will make for a really nice shop! Now I see why you wanted the "space".
I just read through this thread. It's lookin' good. You can never have too much room in a shop. The main part of mine is 24x50 and I thought it would be plenty of room. It's now pretty full and I'm going to have to do some serious rearranging one of these days.
Mike, I think if mine was 24x50 I wouldn't be doing this. It was a little too narrow for two side by side and not quite deep enough for in front of each other.
I got the wall pretty much out and the stub wall for the I beam done ,now I need to get my bosses skid loader over here. With his on one end and mine on the other we should be able to put in the beam next week. It's kinda fun to see the original studs on the building to remind me how short it was. They still smell like hogs when you cut em. On side note, a guy has to think outside of the box on how to keep his coffee warm when it's 0 deg.
Any upcoming snowfalls?
All you need now for that cup of coffee is a straw.:)
Lots of new space once you open her up. Envious of anything bigger than my beat up garage! Nice work.
I thought you said one of the reasons to get rid of the camaro was because you needed that shed space?
Nice work. If my divider wall wasn't setting on 18" of concrete foundation, I'd consider doing this too. For now, I'm trying to come up with a plan to get some ground and put up something much bigger. Hopefully in 5 or so years I can make that happen.
Okay, I see now. Using my own words against me, that's not fair LOL. In my defense I also needed more Cold Storage where they Camaro was. Now the problem is there's another Camaro sitting in the same spot:LOL:
Isn't cold storage where you keep the beer?:LOL::LOL:
No Mike, it's for the projects you want to forget about.
The wall is officially removed. Now I need to get the walls sealed up all the way and get the ceiling ready for tin. It looks like there's a bow in the I beam on my picture, but it's straight. I got a different phone and the camera lens must have been made at a fun house factory.
I like the comment about the studs still smelling like hogs. :)
I built my first stock car in a cow barn. The cows were watching me work.
