Tesla releases All Electric Class 8 Heavy Duty Tractors
Tesla releases an all electric semi. It looks and sounds pretty promising. But will it perform for X amount of years? The cost doesn't seem out of line if what they posted on their site is correct. They say it has a 500 mile range and you can even keep going if you loose 2 motors. They say that even down to 2 motors, this will still beat a diesel truck. It sounds like a lot of hype to me but who knows. I don't see many owner operators jumping over but corporations will probably give it a whirl. No emissions BS, and more control over all not to mention the tax breaks. The charging stations may be the hold back I'm guessing.

I saw last night on fb about John. The world sure lost a great one. I'm going to miss his humor, advice, and perspective from another portion of the world. Rest in Peace Johnboy.
