I always thought those looked pretty cool, but with all the boneheads chatting and texting these days, head-on collisions seem to be on the increase. I'll take the F150 and pay the extra for gas. Twenty years ago, I'd have been all over the Suzuki. Now, I want more in front of my feet than a Japanese bumper! Still a cool looking little truck though.Quote:

Deere are, although I did almost get T boned the other day when some guy blew one of 2 stop lights I do have to go through to get to work. The F-150 got 16 MPG approx. I bought it off a dealer back lot knowing it needed work and it wasn't nearly cheap enough for the work needed. I did rebuild it with parts from his junkyard but still needed to put over $500 into it, and then the head gaskets blew shortly after I started driving. With 230k miles, I let it go cheap.. The little Suzuki was a lot more expensive but has a little under 20k miles legitimately ( little over 31k Kilometers )

Yeah, I'm 6' 250 and drive it comfortably, but people over 6'2" complain about the legroom. 6'6, just would not work
When I first bought the truck in 2015 during my divorce, I went to the Dmv and waited outside the building in a line of about 20 people in pouring rain for an hour. They only let the person at the front of the line into the building where they triaged you and gave you a ticket to sit inside until your number was called about 40 minutes later. By time I got to a person and gave them, my paperwork I had to rush to work. The lady behind the counter told me there was no record that the guy selling me the car ever owned it, I explain he bought it 30 days prior at an auction(what he does for a living) She said it's probably a stollen vehicle and I should drive it back to where I got it and leave it there to avoid being arrested. I went back with the seller a week later, a similar wait, got to the counter and was told I do own the truck, but it would be another month for there system to update before I could drive or register it, but I could come in in two weeks and it might be updated. Came back 3 weeks later, they had yet another wait line in the rain,etc.. finally got to the counter and was told you can pay but we can't give you the tags until 10 days from now. $th trip I pretty much knew everyone in line by first name, could tell you whose line you didn't want to go to and met a crusty employee in the triage counter, to the point when I sat down for my number to be called I uttered loudly for all seated near me, Just imagine Politicians actually think a government run agency will do better to manage our health care(Everyone, and I mean everyone, 25 or more wet folks like my self, clapped and laughed(I really made no DMV friends that day!)

Missouri privatized the DMV a few years ago and we no longer have to put up with the lifetime bureaucrats and the wait time is usually 15 or 20 minutes at best, might be different in KC or St. Louis.
I would sell while before the bottom falls out of the market and that's sure to happen. The house I sold in 72 for $21,500 would probably sell for mid 6 figures now. I bought it in 69 for $16,500 and even though it's only 3 blocks from Knott's Berry Farm it damn sure isn't worth 6 figures. California will eventually run out of other peoples money. I surely wish that they would secede or an earthquake would break the state off and it can float to Baja or South America for all I care.

Like many others I used to cruise Whittier Blvd and I had a couple of girlfriends from that area. One of the better parts of So. Cal.
I still don't understand how anyone can live out there with the cost of everything there. That's a high price to pay for nice weather IMO.
It's sort of like trying to cook a frog: start him off in cool water, and when it gets hot, he's gotten hot right along with it and he doesn't know he's gettin' cooked. I was born in L.A, and lived and worked in Cali until 2003 - 61 years - and just grew up along with the costs. It wasn't until we moved to Nevada that we saw what differences in the cost of living and doing business were, and in truth, they are not much different; about the only thing that is noticeably so is the vehicle registration cost, and on top of the lower initial fees, I get a veterans exemption which makes our registration fees less than a hundred bucks a year on both cars.Quote:
