1st game tonight, beautiful weather. It was kinda of a blowout though. 41-14 in our favor. I'm not too much into sports, I watched my first high school football game about 2 yrs ago, now I kind of like em, though I barely know how it works.

It doesn't get any better than that, no agendas, just kids playing for the fun of it.
How many "took a knee"? jk, jk..:LOL:
I'll tell ya, that gives me chills every time. Both teams lined up like arrows with their hands on their heart looking at the flag while the anthem gets sung. It's the same every time around here, the crowd stands, the song is being sung and the crowd is silent The only thing you hear is kids screwing around for a bit till they realize what's going on and then the whole place is silent. Then nobody says a word till the color guard walks off the field. I wanted to take a picture but I couldn't make myself grab my phone during it. I was thinking of you NFDAY and you grandson in the military:) This part of the country has extreme respect for country and military.:toocool:
I love high school sports - kids playing their hearts out with full knowledge that few will play in college but none the less, they play hard. As to the singing of our National Anthem, I too get chills and more than once I've wiped tears after the final, ..."Home of the Brave..." I always stand at attention and remove the hat if for no other reason that to respect those presenting the colors - which is often a junior ROTC or local reservist.
I've done plenty of rides with the Patriot Guard and let me tell you, after scores of Harleys thunder up and shut down and then you stand in a flag line shoulder-to-shoulder with liberals, conservatives and all manner in between to honor a fallen warrior and afterwords embrace the 45 year old parents who have just buried their child something changes deep inside.
Sorry for the hijack - let's all go to a high school football game this year and enjoy the energy of young America and who knows, might just get a chance to talk with some of those kids and change a life!
Regards All, Glenn
i love the school games . we have 6 man here . absolutely hate the nfl and have not watches those a$$clowns in years.
Very nice Seth! It's the same around here, if you want to disrespect the flag, our country, or men and women who served to protect it, be prepared to be taken out of the facility/event. The way it should be.
