Let's keep it on an even keel, and discuss this topic with civility.
My greatest issue with this issue is that their object of protest doesn't match the topic.
Now, let's say the government declared martial law, and deployed troops, barracking them in private homes. For that, protesting the National Anthem would make sense. But it makes no sense to protest the Anthem as a means of protesting police brutality.
Now if they really wanted to fix the problem, they could invest their millions to convince the communities to embrace lawfulness.
If people obey the law, not resist arrest, they don't get brutalized by the police.
How 'bout those Houston Astros! Playing some real fine baseball this year. I think they got the American League this year..
We're strangers in your country; but on various trips we too have visited many of these sites.
Another site we visited was to show that eternal vigilance is needed to protect what you Americans have from those who would seek to destroy it.
The Alfred P Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.
That was very emotional.
Americans: What you have is extremely valuable.
Guard it.
Don't let the haters like Timothy McVeigh destroy it.
And as for evolvo...if I owned the ocean I wouldn't give him even a wave.
I think most of you would enjoy reading this thread from Post 1 again--
Denny, I got some pics -if i email them to you could you get them on here???
My comments are not based on preconceived notions, but rather on first hand experience and that of my immediate family and friends.
all gave some , some gave all , some just don't care .
this should pretty much settle the taking a knee crap.
Somebody needed to put a boot in his ass.

Excuse my Kiwi ignorance Jerry, but flight 93 was 'The Flight That Fought Back' during the Twin Towers incident wasn't it?
And Jerry we had the same problem (only worse,) when we went to see the Liberty Bell. Japanese tourists were five deep around it!
There were three tourist buses parked outside, and there were more coming in behind us.
But at least we could say we'd seen it.
...and Japanese tourists must be the most ignorant in the world. You can be standing in front of a plaque, obviously reading it, and they'll come and stand directly in front of you. But they do understand Kiwi English. A loud "F*** OFF!" and a glare moves them.
Yep------passengers fought back-they knew they had no chance of surviving but wanted the terrorists/hijackers to not be able to complete there plan-Its reported the plane hit at 593 (airspeed is displayed in knots in the plane) and it was probably pretty vertical to get that fast---------
yes , some of the bus tour people are pretty rude to other people--
The Japanese people have lots of photos of eveything in the world with someone standing in the pic next to the photographed subject material-they don't need any far off sat photos, they got everything up close in macro-----
Never mind....just havin' a bad day.

We do have those from time to time Tech, hope it getting better.
