Wow - sure looks like a regular '57!!
That is way cool Shine, how did it drive? What was the drive train?
just kidding. one of my friends said it looked like a toy car with me in it. also called me Lerch for most of the day. i cant even close the door because my leg is in the way .
That is a very nice car! There sure isn't much room in them. I'd still pry in one any chance I got though.
i'm too damn big for them . i took a lot of ribbing for looking over the windshield.
i built this one for my banker. c-4 ls1 . really nice car.
Wow, that thing is beautiful. Looking at you in the Vette reminds me of Tom Selek in Magnum P.I. with his Ferrari. His head was above the windshield too
hey that's better than lerch of the adams family.
Shine, do you have any other pics of the build? That had to be the best type of customer or the worst huh?
it was my banker. we have been friends for over 30 years. really enjoyed the build but it was in really bad shape with a tremendous amount of damage. not many quality body parts then so it was all repaired
i have been blessed that in over 40 years i have only had a couple of customers that were a problem. most all became good friends and i still do work for them .
Beautiful resto. The comments about you being so tall is like a friend of mine; he's 6' 6", and because of his financial situation, he has long had a penchant to buy small (little) cars. Seeing him in a Geo Metro was funny, because he had to lean his head over to the side to see out.
i'm 6'6 and 250 so i dont buy anything but trucks. besides i live out in the sticks. if i'm gonna argue with a deer or cow i'll do it from a 1 ton .
I have a good friend here in NZ that has a complete unrestored 1960 Corvette that he purchased in California on one of his working holidays that somebody had removed the small block and manual gearbox from. It was a reasonable conditioned complete car apart form the missing engine etc so he had to have it. I have photo's of it at his home here in NZ but they are on my cellphone and for some unknown reason, I'm having trouble transferring them for the phone to the laptop but I will continue trying as you guys am enjoy seeing what he has in it now, 354 cu.in. hemi.
