February Cruise
We have a monthly small local cruise that I occasionally go to. It’s been a while since I’d had the 57 Plymouth out, so Friday I pulled it from hibernation gave it a bath and put on its annual fresh coat of wax.

Like I said it’s a small cruise….. usually only 20-30 cars but there is usually something new that shows up. The 2 tone blue 52 DesSoto with the hood up is fresh out of the shop of a friend of mine. It’s a tight fit, but he managed to get a V10 to fit in it (sorry I didn’t get any better pictures of it).

All in all not a bad way to spend a Feb afternoon.

As always, Thanks for sharing the pics Mike!
Color me green with envy, we've got 10 to 12 inches of snow on the ground... I see in one pic a fella is in a Tee shirt only.
Viper powered Desoto.. sounds so cool!

I remember the late '60s, early '70s when, even in California, most gatherings we rodders had were similarly small groups. As the hobby grew in participation that of course changed. Now, as the number of participants declines regularly we're headed back that way................completing the circle I guess. Keep keepin' on Mike................

".....completing the circle I guess...."
I hadn't really given it much thought but good observation Bob.
Now that cars/hotrods are not the current "thing" like they were a few years back, the crowds are pretty much back to the "hard core"" car guys. It's mostly us old guys now, but I am seeing a few younger ones showing up regularly.

I actually prefer the smaller intimate cruise ins like that as you have more time to meet and greed everybody. Here in NZ we have our once a month breakfast runs that started smallish in Auckland to now just about every city with a Hot Rod community have their own run. It lasts approximately three to four hours on a Sunday morning and then you can do whatever one wants.

Nice to see you be able to get out the 57 and enjoy it. Thanks for sharing the pics. The V10 powered DeSoto definitely has me intrigued.

Do you have to do that so it doesn't murder you in your sleep  Sorry, that movie is a little spooky yet.

Naw, mostly just to keep it from happy enough it doesn't decide to stop alongside the road and make me walk home.:LOL:
