foam board

well my interior panels are made. what a leaning experience . the board was much harder to work with than i thought. not bad but there are some quirks to it . cutting and heating were a eye opener. when cutting it can shatter . cuts much easier when warmed up. a lite cut first is easier to do and the following cut will follow it very well . on heating i found it does not like the heat gun. very easy to over heat . i found that by using my space heater to warm the piece evenly it would shape easier.
all in all not too bad. hopefully i will get better with it. still light years ahead of black board or plywood.
next step is sewing all the panels . after which i will likely change my user name to Flipper .

What is this foam board you're using?

It is pvc foam board .

I'll have to google or bing it, interested 'cause I still want/need to finish my trunk area in the coupe.

Keep us informed, this is something I may or may not want to learn. I got those cheezy cardboard panels for the 53 and I don't think that are going to last forever.

Buy the black PVC Shine, works much easier, and does NOT shatter when cutting. Bends real easy with heat gun.

you may be right don . the cab corners are turning into a nightmare . heading out tomorrow to pick up a sheet of abs to make the corners out of .

Thanks for sharing this. Can you sew right to it or do you glue your material to it after you sew it?

either way . some panels i may sew the edge . these corner pieces were the hardest .
