Over the years I have seen a lot of explosions, mostly in either Top Fuel or Funny Car, but never that violent in a non fuel car.Ken Thomas

That was crazy!!! I've seen some pretty hard blow ups, but never one like that that I can recall.
.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.
Twistin' and bangin' on stuff for about sixty or so years; beat up and busted, but not entirely dead - yet.

I'm with you guys.. Never saw an automatic car lunch like that one.
I'm betting torque converter bought the farm and nearly took the driver with it.
