Hey guys, I went to the Grand National Roadster Show at the LA County Fairgrounds in Pomona, CA. Yes, there were tons of beautiful cars and a lot of ground to cover. As promised, here's a bunch of pics to drewl over.....

For the record, I think Photobucket sucks!!! I spent over an hour rearranging this pics so they would appear in a certain sequence but it always reverts back to the way they were uploaded. Boo!! Please enjoy anyway while I look for another photo service....

Randy, I'm sick of PhotoBucket, too! They've gone totally commercial, focused on selling products that they offer vs being a good hosting site. Take a look at SmugMug - https://www.smugmug.com/ They upload full resolution files (no limit), with no limit to numbers so they are a secure archive for your photos as well as providing a means to post images. Something like $40/year for their amateur package (no watermarks, no marketing support for pros) and you retain all rights. Some other popular hosts tell you in the fine print that they reserve the right to use any of your photos as they see fit, so your pictures could be used without even notifying you - not a good thing to me...

Also, you need to do a purge on your PM files. It's blocked from receiving anything because it's full.

You took some great photos! #121 RxNash (two or three more in the 120's plus #230) is wicked! That '57 in #143? What were they thinking? Well done, but.... Also #225 the '34 that MP&C showed us, highlighting his hood louvers! Great stuff. Didn't see Ken Thurm's 5 Window, but may have missed it.... Thanks for taking time to post.

Also, thanks for the comments. I'm glad I caught the '35 Chevy MP&C worked on. I wanted to snap a few more pics of it but that area was really crowded at that time and my battery was starting to fade. I tried to keep an eye out for Ken Thurm's car but wasn't sure what it looked like. I hoped it would have his name posted somewhere but didn't see it. If it's in my pics, it's by pure luck....lol!

That black Metropolitan you mentioned was pretty crazy...don't know if you noticed from the pics but it has a Mazda rotary engine. Fun car.

A couple of other anomalies were the greenish '64 Galaxie had a Coyote 5.0 in it...the engine pic for it ended up near the end. Also the yellow S10 race truck is running an old Tbird "Y" block! The engine pic for it is in there somewhere....lol

Yeah, I don't remember seeing that one, Roger. Did he say what building it was in? Too bad they didn't give him a better back drop or maybe a pretty girl to stand beside it ....

Nope, I couldn't find anything that told his location, other than one saying "They sure put you in a crappy spot! Should'a been on the Main Floor!", which got several agreeing with him. Not sure if they did any re-arranging for Sunday, putting award winners together? I expect that would be a pretty big job, once the floor is filled.

We were there all day sat. and thought we saw it all and I looked for ken and his car he was going to be in building 4 and we spent alot of time there and his car wasn't there if the moved it to another building I missed it

And the WINNER is . The Hollenbeck roadster.
Well deserved as it was a "Driver" Saw it @ the Lonestar Round up last year. Driven out from Northern California.

I'm embarrassed that I don't even have a pic of it in my album!! My battery died on my phone when I was in that end of the building. I was so bummed! It's a beautiful car! Here's a pic I pulled off the interweb....2016 America

Looks like Ken won 2nd in the altered coupes. Not sure what won 1st, but it must have been something very special if Ken's was 2nd!

1st probably went to a Brizio car.......................those guys love to crush Ken's soul that way. The crappy display spot would be gravy for them.

BTW, the Pacific looks beautiful this morning.
