I wonder why they're not going to run it through Barrett-Jackson?

I wondered the same thing when I read it, and even more after looking at the catalog of the auction! It's a TON of old memorabilia from movies, with a few vehicles thrown in, like an original Dukes of Hazard car, a jet bike from one of the Galactica movies, the Graffiti car, etc. I guess the guy thinks he can get more by focusing on the movie collectors than the deep pocket car collectors. I'd say someone's given him bad advice....

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I think you are right, though 7 figures seems a little steep to me.
