In the USA, isn't it cheaper to put it in a manila envelope or one of those white tear-proof envelopes? I don't think they cost $6 to ship. We just shipped a bunch of t-shirts to the US, I will ask what it cost. I do remember that to Canada was considerably more.....l

Yeah, for light stuff like a shirt, stuffing it in an envelope is cheaper than flat rate, but mailing stuff to NZ carries a nice premium. Just a regular envelope with a letter is something near $2 if not more. Same for over there - when we were coming back a friend sent a half dozen magazines and pre-addressed envelopes for us to mail to people in the US, as it was about 3X higher sending them international.
