small hotrod show -rotorua ,new zealand

one of a series of breakfasts happening on the first sunday of the month and sponsored by petrolhead - a free nz magazine.
they were trying a new venue and it was quite cool but has some limitations with number of cars that can be parked and not being able to get out when you want.
a good variety of cars tho!!

Looks like a good collection of cars with great weather too!

Does the kid posing for a pic with his foot on the running board, still have it attached? LOL..

Or perhaps rod owners down your way are more relaxed about that type of thing.

LOL I thought exactly the same thing, Mike! I can hear the scream now, "Hey KID, get your &^*&^*^ foot off of the paint!!!" Scarred for life!

I can well imagine the proud owner coming back to his car only to find a footprint or worse...

But maybe it's different "over there"?

Holy cow!!! That off white Lincoln is really just right!!!!

That kid probably doesn't know any better, but his parent should be healing from an "educational tutorial" today.

sometimes you just got to shake your head and walk away.
I've given up worrying about kids and running boards -short of standing within a metre of your car all the time or leaving it in the garage -talking to them doesn't change anything!

I had a little kid do that just after I had pulled to a stop. I hadn't even undone the seat belt and this little fella was putting his jandalled foot up onto the side exhaust pipe. Now this was in my T Roadster and you can imagine the smell of burnt rubber plus it took forever polishing the rubber off.
I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

I took my '30 sedan to work one day, and took some associates out to lunch. A young lady almost stepped up in her high heels before I had a chance to request that everyone PLEASE try to be careful with the running boards. Considering the skirt she was wearing, it might have been interesting . . . but not interesting enough to repaint the running board.

    I can relate to that.
Pulled the Cobra into a carpark one day, got out, was walking away when I heard a noise behind me.
Turned around; and some idjit had walked right up to the lake pipes and melted his nylon trousers into his shins.
Took an age to get that melted nylon off the stainless.

Thanks for sharing the pics! It looks like there was a really nice variety!

I can see where the kids get the ooh and awww of wanting to touch shiny cars andc trucks. I make it a point to tel our kids not to touch any of them. Heck, they're just curious and excited.
