Easy - Just introduce yourself and BINGO !
STORY #1
Back in February I had gone to the store and when I turned into the parking lot I noticed a '65 Falcon Convertible pulling an old Teardrop Trailer in the McDonalds parking lot. No one was at the car when I drove by but as I was leaving the owner was climbing back in and fixing to leave. Even tho it was pretty cold and I hadn't worn a jacket just a Rod Run Teeshirt, I pulled up and got out to talk to him. He rolled the window and in the next 20 "brrrrr" minutes I stood there and talked with him.
He was quite an interesting dude to rap with and during the conversation I found out that he had logged 10,000 miles so far on this Road Trip and that he had left from Florida and was eventually headed for California where he currently resides. He said that he had left Beaumont this morning and just had to come to Montgomery, Texas and see what it was all about (I would like to know also LOL) Also said that he was an electrician and their Union was having some kind of gathering at the KOA Campground at Lake Conroe. He also said that he wanted to go to Austin and see the Capital Building and I told him how to get there the easy way. He was looking for a teeshirt that said Montgomery, Texas on it and I told him Wally World down the road was his best bet.

STORY #2
A couple of Sundays ago while we were on the way to pick up the '65 Stang we ran across this dude. He was friendly and shared lots of stories and conversation with us. During this time he said that he had taken this Nostalgic HOT ROD to Colorado and participated in the "Hot Rod Hill Climb" at Georgetown, Colorado and was going again this year. Hot Rod Hill Climb | 1953-1954 ~ 60th Anniversary Celebration of the Hot Rod Hill Climb ~ 2013-2014 He also mentioned that he took the Banger out of the car and put in the Flattie for the Climb. I personally thought my rad puke reservoir from a Hospital Urinal was too cool but his was a TEXAS Lone Star Beer Bottle so I bowed to the "winner".

Anyhow, didn't mean to bore but just found time to post these meetings that "Old Tin" seems to provide us with sometimes.Last edited by MelloYello; 04-06-2015 at 03:17 PM.
