I agree completely, being able to pull a chip and see the pictures shot minutes before is great technology. Did you know Kodak still sells 35 mm film a bit hard to believe.

70-300 zoom that is a lot of glass, this camera came with a 16-55.. Looking hard at one of these 35 or 50 fast 2.8 fixed lens, telephoto nothing above 200 and quite possibly 135 max, see what the needs are.

D50 is a solid camera for sure, other then cars what else do you photograph? I like all things mechanical, and mother nature.
