Ah yes, the world of M&A.............mergers and acquisitions for those unfamiliar with the abbreviation. Just a glimpse of the Mr. Gasket past can be seen here: History of Mr. Gasket Inc. – FundingUniverse

I'm not sure what MSD gains with the Accel piece of the pie, most anything Accel brings MSD already had, and better quality to boot. As speculated above, perhaps it's a good way to clear the field considering the other assets in the package. As the market evolves the better managed companies will figure a way to adapt to it. We in the more "traditional" (for want of a better term) part of the market are a declining demographic, not immediate, but gradual decline. The newer demos need to be where the survivor suppliers progress to. Something like the commentary on my Boss Mustang thread. The last generation car that started in '05 ran it's course with the boomers and immediate post boomers. Now, Ford has moved on with the mostly all new '15 that is styled and featured for a younger slice of the market..............apparently a good move on their part as I just read where it is tied for the number one demand vehicle in the 2015 field, average time on the dealer lot is less than 10 days...................and as a bonus it's outselling the Camaro by a LOOOOONNNNGGGG shot.
