Sadly, the mill that was still producing them (cut nails) was closed maybe 10 years back. They were still running the water powered machines and had a full line of cut nails and rosehead nails etc. , but it all became to expensive and no one wanted to help maintain the works and the dam needed to be removed and rebuilt...

It's about 25 - 30 minutes from me and they do a run once a year, they open up the place and have tours and the local old gas buffs show up with their motors / mills/ "stuff".... so I'm sure to be there!
