Well, I'm still working my way thru the pic downloads from my camera from not only this trip, but 2 other recent car shows that I attended------------and I feel that maybe I need to clarify my position on the photo posting issues on this site and possibly directly address comments by Dave and Roger, not as an attack against there comments, but as an opportunity to answer some obvious opinions about this site and posting issues with pics that quite possibly many of you would like to see-------
First, since it's the shortest -------Dave-----this is a site that many people are on that like hot rods and customs, race cars of all types, and discussions of wheeled street vehicles along with occasional posts about farm tractors, antiques, boats, planes, and other off road recreational vehicles-----------and the best writers around can't begin to describe some of what they see nearly as well as a decent photo---------I know that you have many more posts than anyone else, have road, dirt, and bracket raced many years------altho it is commonly talked about in some circles that you are possibly one of the strongest contenders for the distinction of driving away more members of a forum than anyone on the net!!!!!!!!!!!
Roger-------we have had many excellent exchanges about many different things, and I truly appreciate and want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the assistance that you have given me with posting of pics----------however, at this time I would like to beg for your support to get the posting procedures changed instead of slam banging me about it----------
I don't want to select all for downsizing of my pics to create another whole set of files-I have a Personal PC and not a major facility such as these hosting sites and my storage is limited as well-----------
I don't just point and shoot on auto as you have referred in one of your posts--------I carefully (when I can ) position myself for the light available and wait for the crowd to space out for a shot---mainly about the only thing auto on the camera is the exposure setting for the lighting and quite often I will use a flash fill in to erase shadows for detail shots in confined areas. Anyway, my photography methods aren't the subject so I'll move on.
As a old time racer? that's been in a lot of places, the art/periodness of the hot rodding world is vastly different in different sections of the country(world) and there are thousands of different ways to build a hot rod-------I try to look for and record some of those and find that others do enjoy/appreciate my efforts.
It would probably be much appreciated by many others on here if you rendered a little support to convince Brent to change these restrictions which I believe would raise the site to a new, much higher level--after all, everybody is constantly ranting pics, pics, pics

Jerry,
It's just not logical to support a request for Brent to allow huge photos on this site for the following reasons.
- You have limited storage - so does Brent.
- Monster photos eat up bandwidth and load slowly, even on my high speed connection.
- They are great for making prints, but provide little, if any, improved viewing on a computer screen.
Bottom line, most forums like this are a venue for what we used to call 'trading snapshots' as opposed to a photography arts exhibition.
No offense intended, but I find little value in downloading a 7mp photo for casual viewing.Jack
