Planning on taking the boat out Sunday ..the only day its not going to rain. Be Safe
Grading the driveways with the Bobcat. Tidying up around the place.
I've got to replace the front pinion seal, rebuild the turbo, and wash out the intercooler on a 1999 Dodge. On Sunday I might take my car to a show in Madrid. I will at least head there and hand out fliers for my show which is next weekend. Then I need to try to make some more trophies for it too. Oh yeah, there will be time in the evenings and mornings to spend with the fanily. Man, I thought I had a car and truck of mine to work on too?!
Truck: 1. Weld more on the floor pans. 2. Install new carburetor, old radiator, and time.
Kids Mustang - Find exhaust leak and fix.
Kids S10- Fix tail gate and rear light.
Take daughter swimming.
Though from the radar I might be working inside all weekend
Oh yeah... I forgot all about my Truck! Glad you said that about the Dodge. I have a 1993 Dodge dually and it quit going awhile back. I parked it and forgot all about it~! LOL At first I thoughtI lost the tranny, but after some thought I think I might of lost the torque converter? Put it in gear and it feels like there is no oil in the tranny. So my guess is the tranny pump has gone away or the TC. Cant really complain as I just turnered over 350000 miles. Can you buy a stock converter off the shelf?
replacing rear springs and rear pinion seal. fun stuff. :HMMM:
i`m crawling into a bottle of bud lite and not coming out till tuesday morn ...
I like Hoss's idea best but only after I get the front bumper installed.
Well we have only a normal two day weekend down under so I will be doing just the usual. Oh wait, I have a the baddest head cold from hell over the last week and have woken this morning with a mean headache so now Mum is settled in her armchair, I will retire back to bed for some more shut eye.
Well thats no good. Shake that cold and get back in the rod as soon as possible, Best medicine there is is a quick run in the ride.
Tri-Bob, you should be able to get a converter at a local parts place. Maybe a bigger chain place that has a big warehouse. I'm guessing it is a diesel? Most places around here don't stock the older stuff too much. But you might get lucky. If you get in there and the front pump is messed up, the front pump is the same as a 727 diesel and maybe the gas ones as well. We put a 727 front pump in my dad's 47rh when he rebuilt it.
Well, my plans to work on what I posted earlier have been circumvented by a late surge in unexpected orders. Now I'll be working on regular work stuff this weekend as opposed to working on what I originally planned to work on. It is "Labor Day Weekend" after all. :whacked:
Looks like I'll be laboring.
Oh well, It's double time.
Spent today back on the repairs on the W924 Kenworth front.. Stress cracks everywhere,,cracks in the right front fender.. Ripped it back through the gelcoat, and into the layup,a couple of millimetres,,and layed down two new layers of mat to seal everything.. still have the left side to do yet,,just about as ugly.. ;)
Pulled a T bucket body out of the mold,as well.. That was enough for today.. ;)
Well it's a good thing it's a 3 day weekend holiday type happening as I've 3 days of paper work to catchup on from work!
then there is the car to get some kind of a tuning setup done on...
And an uncle decides his snowthrower needs repair from last winter when it lunched a piston... so I need to do a setup and bore the cylinder and of course it's so small my boring head won't fit so there goes like 200 bucks for a new tool that I didn't have ( or really need/want!) and the dang block sits at like 35 degrees so I need to fabricate a mount to hang onto the foolish thing.... aaarrrggghhhh... and of course it's family so we'll just smile and nod repeatedly like we're listening or even care!!! yep.. this is gonna be a fun weekend!:eek::LOL:
Update: Kids Mustang: Put a scrap length of wood to my ear and then all over the exhaust then the engine. Coming from inside the engine. Solution, make sure oil is full and turn up radio. Raining light and heavy today so washed the Jeeps engine with a sponge as I got washed, while family slept. Going to work on secretary desk, inside garage. Oh, and of course play with daughter in the rain and puddles.
Why mess around with boring a cylinder when you can just drop a new engine in it?:LOL::LOL:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81y9XSQ9Ru0
