Well I guess that I'll take the opportunity to reply under the equal time rules---------


There are a many people on this site that have been here for years and have thosands of posts----


There are a handful or fewer that actually have reasonable experience in any particular field, let alone different areas------


Hotrodding has several areas of expertise that are involved and levels of particification that range from Riddler award type stuff to the current trent of rat rods----------


There are metal workers of body panels, bondo experts, and of course the real steel vs plastic factions( these groups seem to mix quite well here but not on other sites)


But when it come s to some auto basics such as suspension/steering items and how that effects driving-steering-suspension travel, etc ----it seems like that is a void area not only here but all over the hot rod world


Now when it comes to engines---------after you get past the 350/350 crowd and into some real today type builds----------this site has exactly 2 members that are involved in that on an ongoing basis with contacts with the major suppliers/sourses of current tech OEM or aftermarket products-------


When it comes down to someone assuming what the new guy poster is trying to describe, it takes more background than just telling him he should download a free cam program from Comp -------
It takes a little more background than to use the China argument to defend a poor response whether it is poor because of personal dislikes or stupitidy--------


In addition to the leading number of posts on the site there should be an line showing the outstanding award for the number of people that have left the site as a result of that persons posts


I sincerely hope Pat McCarthy sticks around and I will continue to be here while I mull the decision, instead of just leaving and then considering if I did the right thing.
