Holy smokes Batman... no really, San Diego is on fire! Again

Happens this time of year almost every year. We get strong winds off the desert pushing towards the ocean. I think its turned into some kind of sick game for every idiot with a match to see who can build the biggest fire. The fires are mostly in North county between San Diego and Los Angeles in fairly rual areas but who knows where they will be by tonight? To top it off the winds off the desert is oven hot so things are warmed up to about 100 degrees here today and expected to hit 104 tomorrow. That means the tin shop will be in the 110 range today and the 114 range tomorrow... I'm getting Old Blue out and going to the islands fishing for a few days boys... Enjoy. :D Oh yeah Im not telling the other Bob's im going so lets keep this between us please... Thanks

We came back in early this morning. Started to get a little choppy and it was the first over nighter for Beth... She was turning green on me so I thought it was best to get her back on land. No chumming on her part so it wasnt too bad. Real trooper, she did very well for her first time out there. A little boat in a big ocean can be intimidating at times.

Still plenty of smoke coming out of the north county so the fires are still blazing. Heard several homes were lost during the night. One imigrant found dead and burned. My prayers go out to all involved...

It's really terrible what is going on and I'm sure everyone will be glad when it's over!
