Anyone else N2 Rock crawling?

So in my free time I build crawlers and not often enough I get the chance to enjoy rock crawling. Ive been building rigs for customers for a long time now as it is totally different than building Hot Rods. My latest project is building a totally self contained enclosed camping trailer that will haul 2 dirt bikes ANYWHERE I want to go. what makes this trailer unique is that I designed a suspension so that it is contained up in the trailer not allowing for any of the components to get scrubbed of or damaged in anyway. It is air bagged and shocked with the ability for full adjustment on the fly. This trailer sleeps 4 adults and has a removable camper shell, awning, hot water, heat, propane stove, sink and portable shower, CD DVD, and a lot more. I responded earlier, but it apparently went into the Twilight Zone. I've done some rock crawling, but my Jeep is more lightly modified for protection, running 33's and mild lift. It's been to Moab three times, but we stay away from the extremes like Pritchard Canyon, Holy Cross, etc, etc, etc. More into the recreational cruising, but finding that many of the trails have been totally wrecked by the guys in the tricked out UTV's running high speeds throwing rocks and small boulders as opposed to crawling.

Im not so sure I really like the King of the hammers thing either. I like crawling these days. I went through the long travel sand car phase and then to the 8 truck thing. I must admit Ive never had so much fun going fast or slow in my life! And beleive it or not there is actually some skill involved! :LOL: Its not for everyone but if you ever get a chance to do some serious crawling I'd throw my hat in real quick!

Yeah, we've got some big time rock buggy guys around here, and they're amazing. The rear steer buggies with all hydraulic steering are pretty awesome. I've toyed with stretching mine out, going to some bigger axles and jumping up to maybe 42's but I like to keep it road worthy.

Very cool camper/trailer you're building sir! I have a friend whom used to build buggys at Avalanche Engineering and he loved it. I have some other people I know who go pretty gnarly off road trail driving from Az to Mt. I'd like to get out there and do that some day. I have had some friends around here that have had 4 wheel steer bad azz buggys, but there just aren't the places to take them around here so people eventually get rid of them.
