Not so bad for a first timer..... You got some nice shots of the ground and your feet....even a nice shot of your shadow swiggin' a cold beverage! It sounds pretty good. A couple of pointers if you don't mind..... turn the phone on it's side to shoot for a wider picture and point it at the car instead of the ground. It runs! That's exciting! It sounds pretty good, and from what we can see, looks not too bad, either, in my opinion. I wouldn't mind having another 'Vair just for s's and g's.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.

Wow the body looks nice and straight! No airbourne misshaps! Nice find. We have a pretty big club in this area of corvair owners. I see two of them, both convertibles, always out in front of a guys house with for sale signs, but have never stopped to check the price, since they've been there for years. Both have new paint." I've always had good luck with the 140's. There are a lot of aftermarket parts still available as they were the engine of choice for the sand car crowd for years. I still have a 140 engine and crown reverse turning kit for it. Kennedy adapters made an adapter that would hang that engine off the back of a vw bus trans-axle. It made for a great marriage as long as you were rolling before you jumped on it. And never, never, get rough in reverse! Ah, the old memory's. Enjoy your ride, there is a lot to work with there and they are a much better car than most gave them credit for.Bob, Bob, & Bob

Welcome to CHR. I think that you need to hook up your vacuum advance. At part throttle when cruising you have less air and fuel in each cylinder, and the air-fuel mixture is not as densely packed...
