[QUOTE=Dave Severson;509412]Our little Lexi is going to be 4 tomorrow. This morning we were having our usual breakfast together and she told me, "Papa, this is the last day I'm going to be 3."
Maybe it's no big deal, but I thought it was quite profound a statement for a young lady her age!!!!!! Happy, Happy Birthday to my darling "miracle girl" granddaughter!!!!![/QUOTE
And happy birthday from Aunt Jane and Uncle Jim, too, Miss Lexi!
Agreed, Dave ...... that's a pretty remarkable observation to come from a
four year old!
I'm reminded of a comment our daughter made when she turned five. She had been sitting at the table (apparently pondering some pretty heavy stuff) when she said "I was three a lot longer than I was four."
Right, Susan, and that phenomenon will only get more pronounced as years
go by!

Thanks Dave These grand kids are gonna be so far ahead of us from when we were kids.
My grand daughter comes out with her I tablet which I had never even seen before.
She down loads her own shows on it and watches then at her own leisure.
She's 3 and works the computer better then I do, it's crazy.
And the whole time she's working this stuff she's like a chatter box, talking to me.
I am struggling to under stand what she saying let alone what she doing at mock 3.

A while back my 8 year old Granddaughter was having a sleep-over party with some of her friends. Her 10 year old brother, not wanting to spend his evening with a bunch of giggling 8 year old girls, called and asked if he could spend the night at Grandma & Grandpa’s house. That night, before bed, he took a shower in the shower I usually use. The next day I took him out to lunch and then a movie.
In the truck on the way to lunch he says, “Grandpa, can I ask you a question?”
“Of course”, I said.
“Why do you have shampoo in your shower?”
“To wash my hair,” I replied.
“Grandpa, you don’t have any hair,” he matter of factly stated.
“I know, I know,” I said, “but I used to have hair and I guess it’s a habit”
Then he said, “I use AXE brand of shampoo and deodorant.”
“Is that so?” I asked.
“Yea, you wanna know why I use that stuff? Cause it makes me smell like YOU”
Was that a compliment or what?
I'd have to say that's one of the best you can get.
Did he ask for money after that??? HE! HE! HE!
Love that car of your's, Dad had one just like it.
Same color and everything, it was a hard top convertible.
390 dual exhaust, steering wheel slid over to make it easy to get in and all.
The roof went right in the truck then he had a turtle cover that went over the back seats.
Made it look like a 2 seater, Fitzwilly.
