just thought i would post an update. he now has earned the rank of petty officer. he is out to sea for 3 more months and loves it. he plans on buying another 71 monte in the spring for us to work on.

Howdy Barb. I didn't know he was on deployment already you have every reason to be proud. If he enjoys it that's great. A new monte project that will be cool. You guys have a great thanksgiving and tell Charlie I said hello. Maybe someday him and Mat will meet.
Thanks for posting the update, Barb! I got my PO3 crow as an ADR, which is an Aviation Machinist's Mate (Radial) and it's a big step in perks along with the added responsibilities. Good for him, getting the bump quickly! I can't add much to what's already been said, so Happy Thanksgiving!!

Well Charlie is back stateside but still not home. Will see him the end of next week. He made petty officer. We are so very proud of him. He purchased a car that he promised himself and will pick it up next week. It is not a monte. He brought a 1991 Ferrari modial T. I love the car and can not wait to give it a test drive.

lol astro. i know how you feel. once a week the arctic visits us here in virginia.
So will Charlie have a safe & secure indoor storage spot for that beauty while he's deployed for those looooooong sessions with no ports of call? It would be a shame for it to be sitting in a shipyard parking lot, or base parking lot exposed to the elements, etc while he's out!
roger i will be taking care of it when he is deployed. :D he is going to be using our beater to go to work. no way is his car going to be parked at the shipyard.
