Yep California was pretty much out of it, other than supplying gold and some support troops to the west, but lots of conflicts over the north vs. south affected the northern and southern parts of this state. Funny thing is we have a huge group of Civil War reinactment folks that fire black powder pistols, rifles, and cannons once a year locally, and always a few out at the local rifle range.
One thing to remember though is that this town was officially formed in 1858, pre-Civil war, like my house built in 1858. You don't see much stuff older than that because of the 1906 EarthQuake, Petaluma was one of the few survivors for Victorian error building and houses. Our town was formed as a supply depot in a sense to San Francisco during the Gold Rush. Once was known as the Egg Capital of the World!"
"No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

I check in everyday and some are better than others. I don't think Brent has anything to do with the forum anymore, but I'm not sure. Hopefully as time moves on the forum will get better.
Where is everybody?
