I went with the guy who helped upholster my car. He did the black rpu above.
Can you tell what the leather upholstery came from?
If you didn't guess.... it's JACKETS! He's associated with Wilson Leathers stores....
I was all over this next car!
HMmmmm.. how about a flathead or nailhead motorcycle? Or should I call them drag bikes? I wouldn't be caught dead on one of these!!
Or an MG with a Flathead 60???
This one does a vintage race circuit... Sweet in every detail too!:)
I was able to chat briefly with this owner. Drag car and apparently quite rare now.
And some more.. Can you tell what the red rail frame is made of?
I know it's hard to see but the frame of the red rail is made from Torque Tubes! Welded towards the front but just behind the motor, you can see a joint bolted together! Or how about a Fiat with a Desoto Hemi?!?!
This one made me smile... and then I started thinking of R2... Not sure why!!!:rolleyes::eek::eek::LOL::LOL::HMMM:
I thought Dave Severson might like this style of car..??..??
The truck I snapped for my uncle...:)
I guess he finds "seconds" or damaged coats??? Once he had enough of them they stitched it all together and made seat covers... It takes all kinds! On the spare tire, look close at the hub cap.. it's a turned block of oak... complete with worm holes! I could only shrug and walk away!
I was kinda diggin' the "Silent Tiger" till I got around to the back and saw the Cougar taillights......then my eye-brow raised.....
As for the magenta trimmed, Member's only, oak-capped piece......it kinda goes "Flash Dance" for me.....I wonder if it has one of those showers in it.....
The silent tiger.. a 60's kit car that was never really finished! It sat for some 40 years until the guy was having his 70'th birthday come up and he said screw it! let's get'er done!!! LOL..
I didn't notice any showers... at least no puddles around it!:LOL::LOL:
What a nice selection you shared with us. I like em all, esp the 48 Ford F1!
Nice bunch of pics, must have been a fun get-together! Yeah, those two Falcons really caught my eye!!! Neat story on the Fiberfab car, too!
Thanks Guys. Yep, it was a good day and a good show. Glad you liked the pics.
Looks like a great show with an awesome and interesting variety of cars. Very nice. Thanks for posting.
What a nice show and thanks for posting pics for us to see. Yeah, that men's only interior is odd but cool. A nice way to think out of the box and use something over too.
Thanks Nick & 40FD! I am definitely not a photographer!! But it's fun to share those that are unusual.. and that jacket car fit the bill!!
Hey thanks for posting, don't ya just hate it when the last show of the year comes around?... know i do..
So true Ryan, it seems the guys in the east where it snows and they can't get out have the time to make some repairs or just do some deep cleaning on their rides that the guys in the west coast don't have.. I live in Northern Calif now and it has it's cold and wet days that shut down the car shows for a few months but when i lived in So. Calif. the weather was so nice you could go somewhere all most year round. We have a run on News Years day that was always fun to go on, guys would open up some of their garages and you would just go from garage to garage and check out all their stuff.. Saw some pretty wild houses and garages on those runs... We tried it here in the north this past Jan. and it was a good turn out even though it was only about 40/45... I know that not cold to most but when your bloods thin it is....
Just finished looking at those pics myself..Good selection of different cars.. The flattie in the MG will probably cause a few heart tremors,,,hehe,,never mind..Love the Falcons,too.. ta from me,also,,for sharin them..:cool:
Thanks Lammy.. It was my pleasure!
Just went through the pics, Mike, and it looks like a good show with a nice turnout of cars. Gotta agree that "jacket" interior is different, to say the least. Not sure I'd want to invest the labor for that long term "look", but it definitely saved on materials!! Thanks for posting.
Thanks for the pictures.
Thanks Guys! Yep a good show.. lot'sa different stuff at this one!
