BRILLIANT! LOL!
Thanks
I own a Jeep and that had me laughing all the way through!! The guy knows how to market, and I expect it'll sell pretty quick. At 220K miles it's probably just about broken in good....
I feel like paypal'ing that guy a few bucks just to cover the entertainment I got reading his ad.
My daughter in Oakland CA is looking for a car and this made me think I should recommend a Jeep to her. She's very hands-on mechanical.
The Jeep XJ (Cherokee), made from '84 to 2001 (minor styling changes in '97) is an excellent choice for a daily driver. They're rugged, pretty simple to work on, and with the right tires (like BFG's) will go just about anywhere. If you can find one of the later models with relatively low miles it's a great find. The inline 6's run forever, and if they do go bad they're readily available in the aftermarket and easy to swap. One of the best Jeeps made for a regular road vehicle.
love this. wish i lived near him to just hang out and drink a beer.
Enid is just 50 miles from my hometown. Maybe I should respond to the ad and see if we're related. Sounds like he'd be great fun to have at the family reunion!:LOL:
Roger, thanks for that rundown in your last post above. I cut & pasted it into an email to my daughter and told her it's from a reliable source so she should consider this as a good option.
If I may use 36sedan's comment of "Brilliant" and only add that we need people like this dude in D.C.
I know, I know, but I can dream can't I????
Em
Saw it on fb,and every time I tried to access it,,It wouldn't let me in to see it,,saying it had been flagged for removal,etc..Just did the same again..:whacked::whacked: so,,i still don't know what it's all about.. :HMMM:.
Strange. You're going to have to explain how you can click a link that's http://enid.craigslist.org...... and end up in FaceBook. When I click the link it opens right up to the Enid, OK ad, very well done, for a Jeep Cherokee, here - http://enid.craigslist.org/cto/41192...html%3C/div%3E
I'm surprised some humorless panty waist hasn't flagged it. Maybe the Dickens reference saves it.;)
Anyone who's used Craigslist (and really, newspaper ads years ago weren't really that different) would especially get the humor.
Not nearly as humorous as this one, but made me laugh yesterday......there's a '40 Nash hot rod project listed locally. Goes through all the blah blah about what's been done so far, fair to good pictures. But I'd guess he's an older guy who has limits to his tolerance for tech. His closing statement is something like. "Don't bother sending me a text. If you're not able to SPEAK on a phone then you don't have the talent to finish this project!"
A friend of mine in ks sent me this ad a couple of weeks ago. I laughed the entire time reading it. Thought it was awesome!
I know this is off topic but what is with all this texting, I noticed even our Prime-minster Donkey uses texting and hell, he is suspose to be running the country yet can't be bothed talking to people of the phone. I hate the invention and avoid it at all cost.
The fella that wrote that advert deserves a DB!
(That's a 'take' on a Kiwi beer promotion.)
Loved it . . . bloody gorgeous!
