I admit to watching the show from time to time. Only because I can't stand the "big brother", lost on some island, everybody is a star or who can sing better shows. I don't know how this guy, Richard, stays in business. Seems he pays too much for the cars and then builds them for a narrow audience. JMHO.
Until college football comes back on, I'll watch about anything that has a car in it!!
this is another reason I watch about half hour of tv a year ...other than roadracing which I usually enjoy as long as they're not totally focused on only the top class that nobody short of a multi millionaire can afford to run. I like bog racing and swamp buggy racing, too. And pool tournements, especially with Allison Fisher.
You have to remember the show is all scripted. Since it is local and I see some of the cast from time to time I enjoy seeing it if for nothing more than to see the cars involved.
Yep, it is pretty funny! The other night they were puzzled by a strange symptom, the car was cranking hard and back firing? They acted like it was really hard to figure out the plug wires were in the wrong rotation. Ahh, we were figuring that one out faster 40 years ago in high school. LOL!
It is entertaining to watch them make so many mistakes, that is when I have nothing else to do. But hey, I enjoy counting cars too.
I used to like watching most of the shows on Speed channel. Now that it has changed to a sports channel,( like we need another one of those) it is harder to find any decent car stuff on TV and counting cars and fast and loud are not car shows. Neither is turn and burn...who makes up these titles.
They recently opened a "Gas Monkey Bar and Grill" here in Dallas which is pretty Kewl.

i think duck dynasty is great . phony car shows just piss me off. why they are making all of them here i have no clue but for the most part they are embarrassing .

Hell guys, just reading through this thread and now really upset, we purchase most of our TV shows from you lot and you telling me that you are all utterly sick of the crap that the Channels feed you, there is no hope for us them. We have building house/ renovating style crap coming out of our ears, talent ( lack of ) shows and now survival island shit all the time now. The only programme Mum and I are enjoying at the moment is Wild Planet North America with Tom Selleck , absolutely brilliant.
