As one of the "old timers" who has not been around in a while. I understand what your are saying... There is so much good info on the internet these days it is hard to find time to come here to be social. Lots of great info here and really smart advice too... Unfortunately, messages boards have become out dated. Heck most of the younger crowd can't even compose a complete sentence without a bunch of crazy text abbreviations! Wow I starting to sound like a curmudgeon!

Well,
I am one of those "lurkers"-unfortunately I learned a while ago (on another Board) that my contributions weren't always accepted in a positive light, so I simply quit contributing-I come to Boards for comaraderie, fun and knowledge (which I do get here) and to help others where I can, not to argue (which I haven't seen here, but I do see it a lot in other places), however I find myself measuring my responses, so, after I proof read I usually delete-
I appreciate this Board (and see the close relationship between many of you which is really great)-hopefully this place will continue, however it appears our hobby is waning in popularity (which is very concerning)-Last edited by 35WINDOW; 08-22-2013 at 06:04 AM.
Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?

I hear ya! There is a boat load of material on the net and covers almost every problem we encounter when building a car. There are pros and there are hobbiest(me). Also the way it is writ-in and taken are at question.(i write like a 6 year old and others sound stuck up). There was a thread back around the election that got out of hand(myself included) and left a bad taste in some of us!(this is a car thread never never never talk religion or politics it will always turn ugly) I still enjoy reading the posts even thought I feel on the outside(story of my life,I'm just not a people person) My thoughts from my 6 year old brain, add a 0 to the 6! Thanks for the kind words and your observation. I won't hijack Richard's thread, but will give you a link to a photo album: THE H.A.M.B.
If you'd like any detail in reference to what you see, or would like to know more about just PM me.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
