    Mother Nature wins again

Some of you may remember back a few months ago, I posted up some pics of trees around my shop that the winter "blizzacane" snapped and ravaged all around my shop.

Well, yesterday she got some more "residual damage" with this widow maker..

My daily driver, I guess it's better than me getting in / out of the car when it came down?!?!?!

That's not good, but as you said better some bent sheet metal and broken glass than someone hurt. Probably a limb weakened in the winter, and then snapped from the added weight & wind resistance of the spring leaves. That's why we have insurance, right?

Correct on both counts! It was windy yesterday and judging from the wilted leaves it was just a matter of time. Thank GAWD it wasn't the hot rod! I'd just have to get out a new rope then!

Too bad. Hope insurance works out not costing you anything.

This reminds me why I spent thousands of dollars last year cutting down five trees too near my house and garage.

Here's my beautiful old willow tree, probably over 100 years old, that came down on my neighbor's garage and his Mercedes SL500 last year. It was a clear, still night and I heard a strange loud snap and when I first went outside I didn't even notice it since it all fell on the neighbor's property. No major damage, though, other than having to take out the old tree.

Perhaps you'll just have to change your Focus and become a better branch manager.....

Sure glad I didn't read this earlier this morning 'cause we had some bodacious wind and rain for about thirty minutes and fortunately I only had to move about a dozen much smaller limbs to the wooded lot next door before anyone saw me.
Glad no one was injured Mike but sorry for your damage.

About a month ago I had a large part of an OLD oak tree removed just for that reason except I was worried about my house.
