The coupe I'm doing for my wife----she likes the louvers on the hoods--brought it back home today, will be working initially on exhaust system

Had it since about 1996 ot 7 but too busy racing Karts with the boys to work on it--then the medical retirement from flying, then, then, then, then---finally guess I'll get some work done on it--going to build stainless exhaust headers and system, mod the intake manifold for a dist drive so I can dump the opti spark----its a special non existant test engine/trans package from a factory 96 test car--one they take apart and crush bodies but sell off the drive train packages---casting numbers don't seem to match anything else I've seen


And after this yhere's my Cobra, and a cabrolet? and 2 roadsters------------plus still have my Firebird Prostocker
Got a flathead and a 392 hemi to do that I plan rotating in one of the roadsters---cuts paint and upholstery costs by 50%

Maybe now is a good time for me to list all those un-wanted parts / pieces left over from my 34 coupe build?!?! LOL..

Neat project Jerry. Looks like you ordered the "painful" wiring harness kit

When I started on this one, painless didn't have kits for the pcm--only basic lights and such----- had a hard time finding any info so took off all the exterior stuff to get to the internals--fiqured out , blacks were grounds--so cut out all the black syuff leaving just pigtails--pinks and reds positives, switched/unswitched------

The fit and finish is going to be a tuff one on this car---with my history, peole expect a lot (they want a best of show, not just a class winner, and I want to just drive it to the show)

the performance plan for this car is a driver that runs good, has pretty decent mpg and is comfortable-----

Who made the body, Jerry? Those firewall beads are different from others I've seen.

this is an early Gibbons body from Nebraska--its either #12 or 14--have to look on the title( or vin plate) all the other 33-34 s I have are Downs from Michigan

I was wondering also as the rear package tray looks just like mine and the wood on the sides are the same also! Also noticed the door interior is similar!

The "RLC1933" plate. Does that stand for "rockin' Little Coupe"... or "Rowdy Little Coupe"? :-)

I'm intrigued about the " Clayton" engine, is it something that Ford or Chev or that other company played with? I hope your wife doesn't want to take the grand kids for a ride as the mufflers could get a wee bit warm. All in all, a very nice project and , oh, I believe the bonnet / hood will have louvres.

RLC---now that rockin and rowdy handle are unique, but in this case they didn't have plate for Robin 33 so I ws able to get RLC 1933------Stands for Robin Lee Clayton!!!!!!!!!!

Whip==== don't get too intriqued about the Clayton engine---this will be my only build with a 350sbc---The engine/trans is from a factory test car that then couldn't be sold to the public as it didn't meed all the epa/safty etc specs--so they dismantle them and sometimes let out the components----has some different casting numbers that don't show up any where in referance books------but I think its an example of where the LT1/4 would of been if the aluminum LS haddened come along---------

Yesterday I took hood,side panels, running boards to friends shop for coat of primer so I can start fitting/ modify without them getting rusty-------
haven been able to post any pics here this week so it'll be a while for photos---

Did move car from driveway to rear patio and bought a new tarp to cover it when outside
