Here's a little short story on the lighter side of the legend.
Back in the 60's George toured and played a lot around the Beaumont, Orange and South Louisiana areas and during that time, due to substances beyond his control, he became known and "No Show Jones". This was because he would book a large club, venue, well they were really just big beer joints with huge dance floors and parking lots. True to his nickname sometimes he would cancel at the last minute and also sometimes the Club Owners would call us to see if we could make it over and play the gig.
At that time we were a weekend band that tried to stay booked as much as possible but occasionally would have a free weekend and most of the places weren't over an hour or so drive. Therefore, if the others were willing we would grab things up, hook onto the trailer and head to the gig. I never had the chance to meet and ?thank? Possum for all those gigs he provided for us but I did talk to his bass player once and told him to be sure and thank him for us. He laughed very hard and said, 'Young man you ain't the only one that has sent those thanks to The Possum".

I check in everyday and some are better than others. I don't think Brent has anything to do with the forum anymore, but I'm not sure. Hopefully as time moves on the forum will get better.
Where is everybody?
