It's obvious that Garlits cared deeply for Art Malone. RIP Art.
I am pretty sure Art drove one of the swamp rats for Don when Don couldn't because of his eyes at the Empire Nationals.He put on one hell of a show.

Wasn't he know as "Colonel" Art Malone? I seem to want to say that. I remember the days he was involved in drag racing.
He was truly a legendary man. My sincere sympathies to his friends and family.
