I've always loved those Studebakers. When I was in the age range of 9 to about 14 one of the "older guys" up the street who was about 20'ish y.o. had one very much like your pic except it was a blue color; nosed, decked, a few other custom touches; with a mildly worked 327 that sounded awesome every time he cruised up our little street.
I was born in 1949 so I'm still thinking of building something around a '49 something or other. Maybe a nice Caddy like this one:

My dream car has always been the 56. Now it's done and it gets driven every chance I get. 30,000 in the last three years.

I check in everyday and some are better than others. I don't think Brent has anything to do with the forum anymore, but I'm not sure. Hopefully as time moves on the forum will get better.
