The Gathering of Warbirds and Legends - Topeka August 1-4, 2013

Early August will bring a unique opportunity to see a wide range of the old War Birds when Forbes Field in Topeka, Kansas hosts the Gathering of Warbirds and Legends - Warbirds and Legends If you "do Facebook" the group has been doing regular updates there, like today's offering:

Owner John Sessions stands beside the Grumman F7-F "Bad Kitty" today that he will fly to Topeka for the gathering. Johns crews will also bring his Pan Am DC-3 as one of the 17 DC-3 SLOT holders for the event. The F7-F is one of 9 left in the world, of the 9, only 4 are in flying condition today. You can see from their website the range of planes already committed to the event, and the opportunity to see one like the F7-F is amazing. Just thought that some of you lover's of old aircraft might think about a trip to enjoy a few days of August in Kansas!! Bring sunscreen, and maybe an umbrella for the chair!:D

as Roger mentioned there is a wide range of Aircraft committed...personal favorites include C1A Trader, F9F, connies and a P-38!!!!!!!:toocool:

Whoops, got a little ahead of myself with the P-38...But at least they are looking for one!!!

I haven't went to a warbird show for a long while. I used to go to the EAA show in Oshgosh when my grandparents lived in Wisconsin. I may have to try to get to this.
