Happy Birthday, Hoss!
Happy Birthday...ice cream time
Happy birthday hoss !!!!!
thank you all so far and for any more wishes that come .. i`m off work today so i`m here a bit earlier than normal .. after a few dismal years health wise i think this the latter part of this year has been a turning point in my life .. i`m making a serious effort to quit drinking ( beer ) .. it has been a stumbling block on and off for me for years .. i can immediately see health benifits with just stopping for a few weeks then boredom or the just plain need to have a buzz takes over and i`m on it again .. i know it causes my blood pressure to be sky high ..it keep my kidnees in constant pain .it causes other things to be affected as well of which i wont go into ..at 57 i feel pretty good .. age is largely in ones mind if health issues arent a big deal .. again thank you all ..
Happy Birthday Hoss!! There's nothing wrong with being a quitter, especially when it's a bad habit, good luck with your quest, I hope you succeed. I became a quitter several years ago when I gave up smoking after 37 years, I don't even think about it now. I also agree with age being a state of mind, I'll be the big 60 in a couple of days and it's hard to comprehend, I just don't feel 60!
Have a great day off and enjoy 'your day'.
Mike
I gave up smoking 14 years ago,and feel better for it..I cant even tolerate being around people when they are smoking,as it gives me a bad headache now..It's good being a quitter, when you quit something like that.I hope your health continues to improve,Hoss..Age is just a number,,and like a good bourbon,,you improve with age..Well,that's my excuse...:D:D
Hoss: in 1985 at age 41 I quit smoking and drinking at the same day. At first I had a real hard time but have not had either since. It can be done and I know you'll get there. I think the secret is eating ICE CREAM.
Happy Birthday Hoss and like some other guys here, I quit the cigs and beer. For me it was "99", I didn't want to go into the "new century" with that monkey on my back. Took awhile and I stumbled more than once but, you keep after it and you can beat it!!
I gave up on alcohol and drugs many years ago, Hoss!!!! I got tired of all the bs it caused, and got tired of winding up in jail!!!! Been long enough ago now that I laugh at myself for ever getting involved in any of it in the first place!!!! Good luck with your quitting, whatever it takes to get it done, it's worth it!!!!!!!
