Last week I was printing out panels for a billboard (2 sided 12'x20'). I had one panel to go but had a deadline lettering job to do out of town. When I returned I tured the laptop on to finish the last panel & the laptop died. Ran to the store, picked up a replacement, came home & ..................... the printer software was no where to be found........ Called my supplier & he got a copy to me, but, the new software DOES NOT have the old ICC profiles. Those are the files that tell the printer how to apply the ink to various media. So........ now I can't match the color of that last panel. Over the weekend we're going to see if we can find the old profile somewhere on the net. If not I will have to reprint one of the 12'x20' sides all over again...
This is also the first of what may be several billboards for the company, so just a good match isn't good enough.
